RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Engage in ongoing conversations with teams to understand their roles and duties, ensuring tasks are completed on time and holding everyone accountable, including the Visionary.
  • Develop and continuously improve the organizational hierarchy to ensure clarity and efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain regular EOS-driven meetings, including IDS sessions and quarterly reviews, to measure milestones and improve scorecard metrics.
  • Establish standards for staff performance, build camaraderie, and hold everyone accountable to those standards.
  • Develop KPIs, focusing on setting a strong foundation rather than increasing volume in the first year.
  • Learn and promote the company’s identity, focusing on energy (electrical) while recognizing the company’s capabilities in plumbing, particularly in dental office plumbing.
  • Continuously improve operational processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assign the right tasks to the right people, retooling as necessary to ensure the organization’s long-term success.
  • Involved in hiring, interviewing, and onboarding processes to ensure the recruitment of top talent and aiming to elevate current team members to A-player status.
  • Get to know the team and provide coaching to help them reach their full potential.
  • Identify training needs, create a training blueprint for current and future employees, and provide opportunities for continued education, including union-specific training (IBW494 for electricians and UA75 for plumbing).
  • Participate in monthly financial reviews, working closely with the fractional CFO to ensure accurate financial management.
  • Assess current financial systems (currently using Sage Contractor 100) and explore potential improvements, such as transitioning to ComputerEase.
  • Take on operational responsibilities to allow the Visionary to focus on strategic initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of teamwork and accountability.


This is an onsite, in-person role based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin


QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 5+ years of operations management experience at the Director level or higher.
  • 3+ years of team leadership experience, managing at least 5 direct reports.
  • 3+ years of P&L management experience in the $10M+ range, with proven scalability.
  • Construction project management experience in trade services, with an understanding of the revenue cycle.

Preferred:

  • Vice President or President of Operations experience.
  • Experience managing individual projects in the $2M+ range, and annual projects in the $10M - $15M range.
  • Experience in mechanical trade services such as electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, or plumbing.
  • B2B sales experience.
  • Experience working with unions.

Desired:

  • Master Electrician, plumbing, or mechanical background.
  • 4-year college degree.
  • Established industry network in Southeast Wisconsin.

SALARY: $125K - $150K
