RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the CFO include, but are not limited to:
Leadership
- Drive Financial Strategy: Oversee the organization’s financial health and long-term sustainability, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with other leaders to guide strategic initiatives and financial decisions.
- Financial Relationships: Manage relationships with investors, lenders, bankers, ensuring clear and transparent communication
- Lead Financial Integration: Integrate and streamline financial operations to align with organizational structure and goals.
- Innovate with AI: Continuously learn and integrate AI to improve financial processes and decision-making.
Management
- Oversee Financial Operations: Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis, meeting all internal and external requirements.
- Contract Negotiations: Manage all new contract negotiations, securing favorable terms.
- Manage the Financial Team: Lead the finance department, ensuring collaboration, efficiency, and performance.
- Monitor Reimbursement Rates: Oversee reimbursement processes, rates, and ensure compliance with financial protocols.
- Ensure Compliance: Stay up to date with state and federal healthcare guidelines and regulations, ensuring full compliance.
- Contract Negotiations: Manage all new contract negotiations, securing favorable terms.
Accountability
- Financial Oversight: Ensure financial data is accurate, timely, and meets reporting requirements.
- Forecasting & Analysis: Regularly analyze financial data, forecast trends, and communicate insights to drive decision-making.
- Reimbursement & Cash Management: Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and manage cash flow effectively.
- Understand Healthcare Reimbursement: Maintain deep knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid rates and the healthcare financial landscape.
- Cost Control & Efficiency: Develop and implement new financial processes to enhance cost management and operational efficiency.
** This is an in-person position based in the Denver, CO area. **
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Senior Financial Leadership & Management: 5+ years in high-level roles (Controller, Assistant CFO, or CFO), overseeing financial operations, reporting, and leading teams.
- Financial Analysis & Underwriting: Expertise in financial analysis, underwriting, and providing strategic insights to improve performance.
- AI Integration & Technological Adaptability: experience using AI tools and passionate about its integration within the financial process.
- Regulated & Growing Environments: Experience in regulated industries and scaling financial systems in growing companies.
Preferred
- Healthcare Reimbursement Management: Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, cost reporting, and industry regulations (Medicare/Medicaid).
- Healthcare Industry Experience: Financial management experience in nursing homes, skilled nursing, hospitals, assisted living, or rehab facilities.
- Regulated & Growing Environments: Experience in regulated industries and scaling financial systems in growing companies.
- Banking, Investment, & Corporate Finance: Background in banking relationships, corporate finance, and investment strategies.
Desired
- Skilled Nursing CFO Experience: Previous CFO experience in skilled nursing or similar healthcare environments.
- Cultural Experience: Familiarity with multi-cultural environments and their unique business practices.
