Chief Operating Officer / Integrator [HT-938348]

Chicagoland, IL

REDO CABINETS

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER / INTEGRATOR

Are you the kind of leader who knows how to grow a business without losing what makes it great? Do you take ownership, ask smart questions, and bring clarity to the work, without steamrolling the team? Are you at your best when you’re close to the action, helping others stay focused, but always thinking a few steps ahead? If you know how to make the complex feel simple, lead with data, and keep a fast-paced team moving in the same direction, then we want to talk to you!

As our COO / Integrator, you:

  • You’re steady, adaptable, and know how to handle growth without creating chaos
  • You lead from within - approachable, visible, and willing to jump in when needed
  • You bring clarity across sales, marketing, operations, and finance so the whole business can move forward
  • You communicate clearly and follow through. People trust you because you show up
  • You coach and challenge others to level up, helping your leaders take true ownership as the company grows
  • You care about doing things the right way for the business, the team, and the long game

This is a hands-on role to start. You’ll roll up your sleeves, build trust with the team, and start putting structure behind what’s already working. You’ll be close to the work and the people, but this isn’t just about managing the day-to-day. You’ll have real autonomy with space to lead, solve problems, and move the business forward.

Long term, this is a seat for someone who loves growing small businesses and knows what it takes to do it well—clarity, relationships, and follow-through. You’ll coach leaders, align teams, and play a key role in helping us scale toward $100M. You know how to bring structure without rigidity, how to make the complex feel simple, and how to keep a business moving forward without losing what makes it special.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As COO / Integrator, you’ll lead the effort to scale. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Implement practical processes that create consistency, visibility, and follow-through across departments
  • Drive accountability through clear ownership, real-world EOS tools, and a 90-day world that actually works
  • Coach and challenge the leadership team to elevate and delegate, replacing hustle with systems, and opinions with data
  • Build a strong working rhythm with both owners, ensuring clear communication, aligned expectations, and forward momentum as they shift into Visionary and Owner roles
  • Refine and reinforce the Accountability Chart to support the owners’ evolving roles and make sure the right people are in the right seats
  • Ensure 80%+ of Rocks are consistently achieved, backed by strong scorecards and real team traction
  • Keep execution tight and on track, from P&L alignment to performance metrics that help us spot issues early
  • Scale the organization in step with sales growth, ensuring production, call center, and support teams can keep pace and stay ahead
  • Connect sales forecasting to operational readiness: know when we’ll need more people, space, tools, or infrastructure, and build the case to get there
  • Lead the expansion plan with eyes on repeatability - new buildings, new markets, new teams
  • Champion succession planning and leadership development, coaching the current team while preparing the next
  • Protect what makes us who we are: high integrity, team-first mindset, and no silos
  • Build trust by creating clarity, so everyone in the company knows their role, what’s expected, and how they contribute to the bigger picture

**This is a full-time, on-site position based in the based in the Chicagoland area (Wood Dale, IL). **
