RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the Director of Operations role include, but are not limited to:
Operational & Process Management:
- Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth execution of tasks in both the office and field (customer sites).
- Lead process improvements, creating and implementing efficient systems.
- Implement and oversee new systems to optimize processes.
- Ensure projects stay on track, on time, and within budget.
Strategic & Financial Oversight:
- Collaborate with ownership on strategic growth plans for luxury and custom homes.
- Participate as a key member of the executive team to implement tactics consistent with the strategic growth plans.
- Work closely with financial operations, legal, budgeting, and forecasting to help drive profitability.
Field & Office Operations:
- Oversee field operations, including project execution, purchasing materials, and managing subcontractor relationships.
- Oversee office operations, including documentation and billing of all change requests, project profitability reporting, and timely invoicing & collections.
- Preside over field supervisors to ensure delivery of the highest quality homes and renovations consistent with Spire standards.
- Prepare/manage estimating for all new projects.
Client & Vendor Relations:
- Communicate directly with customers and participate in contract negotiations and reviews.
- Work closely with all vendors and subcontractor relationships to ensure timely delivery, quality, and pricing optimization.
Culture & Team Development:
- Foster a positive company culture and promote teamwork and collaboration.
- Encourage continuous personal and professional growth for the team.
- Build strong relationships within the company to drive success.
** This is an in-person position based in Paoli, PA. Occasional travel to build sites within a 35–50-mile radius including New Jersey Metro Area **
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- 5+ years of operational project management experience, overseeing complex, custom projects from start to finish
- 10+ years of experience in the construction industry, with hands-on experience managing construction projects from corporate/home office setting
- 15+ years of professional experience with a proven track record of success
- Multi-departmental leadership in a business of 10M+ revenue
- Has implemented and maintained scalable software and business solutions
Preferred:
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience at the C-suite level, driving strategic vision and business growth
- 10+ years of project management experience, with a focus on delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget
- Strong background in residential construction, including custom and luxury home projects
- Experience implementing AI technology to enhance operations and project management processes
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
Desired:
- 10+ years of high-end residential construction experience, with a focus on luxury and custom homes
- Previous experience as a business owner, with a deep understanding of business operations and growth strategies
- Hands-on experience with estimating software in the construction industry

Salary: $150K - $200K + potential bonus opportunities
