DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

We need a leader who can translate big-picture goals into actionable plans, grow and develop the team, and keep ship moving in the right direction. Someone who’s self-aware, mentally strong, and ready to roll up their sleeves when the job calls for it!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Improved processes and procedures are fully documented, driving higher accountability across the team
  • Daily operational issues are significantly reduced, with systems in place to address root causes and prevent recurring problems
  • Team meetings (L10s) are productive, engaging, and drive results aligned with company goals
  • Team goals are met, with KPIs consistently hit
  • The morning setup runs smoothly - technicians have what they need (tools, parts, schedules) to perform their jobs without roadblocks
  • Team members are trained, supported, and empowered to solve issues independently, with clear processes in place to back them up
  • Ensures daily office operations are confidently managed by the team
  • The team is excited to work here, with a strong pulse on morale and culture, and people embodying core values
  • New talent has been brought on for office and operations roles, strengthening the team and overall efficiency
  • Trust has been built with the team, and a deep understanding of the business has been established

**This is a fully onsite role based out of Portland, OR.**


QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 3+ years of Director-level operations experience with cross-functional responsibilities
  • Leadership experience in a business with $9M+ in revenue and 50+ employees
  • Proven ability to drive outcomes and achieve departmental milestones within a growing business
  • Experience leading, training, and developing teams and leaders
  • Strong understanding of P&L with significant budgeting experience
  • Technological troubleshooting skills to support the daily needs of team members

Preferred

  • Multi-departmental leadership experience
  • Service-based business leadership experience
  • Experience leading technicians in the field
  • Any trades experience
  • Proficiency with Salesforce

Desired

  • Prior experience running a business
  • Experience in high-quality, regulatory industries, like fire protection
  • Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)

Salary: $125,000 to $150,000 + bonus opportunity
