GENERAL MANAGER

At Fencing Specialists, you will partner closely with a visionary owner who has spent years building a respected, woman-led business in a traditionally male-dominated industry. This role is about strengthening and scaling what is already working, not starting from scratch. We are looking for someone who communicates directly, takes initiative from day one, and can balance people, performance, and progress in a fast-moving environment.
You are someone who:

In this role, success comes from building alignment, earning trust, and driving results while honoring the foundation that’s already in place. You’ll need to step in quickly, understand how the business operates, and proactively identify where you can add value without disrupting what’s working. The right person will be comfortable asking questions, engaging directly with the owner and team, and taking ownership of both day-to-day execution and long-term improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will serve as a key partner to the owner, strengthening alignment, improving execution, and ensuring the business continues to grow on a solid foundation.
- Partner closely with the owner to translate vision into clear priorities and ensure consistent follow-through across the business
- Build trust across the organization by being visible, communicative, and proactive from day one
- Reinforce accountability at all levels by ensuring teams follow through on commitments, processes, and expectations
- Align departments by improving communication, clarifying ownership, and ensuring work flows smoothly across teams
- Step into challenges directly, addressing issues, resistance, or misalignment with professionalism and consistency
- Support leaders and team members through coaching, clear expectations, and ongoing development
- Bring structure and consistency to operations by strengthening processes without overcomplicating what works
- Maintain visibility into key metrics, budgets, and performance to ensure the business is operating effectively
- Identify practical opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and overall performance by improving processes, reducing manual work through automation, and increasing operational consistency
- Learn the business quickly by asking questions and stepping in where needed to add value
- Represent the company professionally in select industry and community interactions, supporting the company’s reputation and relationships
- Maintain visibility across field, shop, and office operations to ensure alignment and consistency across the business
SUCCESS MILESTONES
- 90 Days: Build trust with the owner and team, learn the business end-to-end, assess leadership and operations, and establish clear communication rhythms.
- 6 Months: Strengthen structure and accountability across departments, clarify roles and expectations, introduce or refine KPIs and SOPs, and improve consistency in operations and reporting.
- 9 Months: Drive measurable performance improvements, coach and develop leaders, improve margins and operational visibility, and ensure consistent follow-through across teams.
- 1 Year: Fully own day-to-day operations, optimize efficiency and profitability, lead a key growth or improvement initiative, and reinforce a strong, aligned culture across the company.
** This is a full-time, onsite position based in North Las Vegas, NV. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate. **
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 5+ years of senior leadership experience leading multiple functions or departments
- Proven ability to align teams, drive accountability, and improve execution across the business
- Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets and business performance
- Able to operate hands-on in the business while building structure and improving processes
- Working knowledge of construction, trades, or a related field, able to read specifications, understand requirements, and support problem-solving when issues arise
Preferred
- Experience with EOS or similar operating systems
- Comfort using business systems and technology to support reporting and decision-making
- Experience in a founder-led or family-owned business

Salary: $160,000 to $185,000 plus performance-based incentives
